Abstract
Abstract
Manasamangal is a significant work of medieval Bengali literature that reflects
profound human thought, philosophical ideas, and moral dilemmas. This study employs
historical, textual, and comparative methods to analyze the moral conflicts, sense of
duty, faith, and human values portrayed through the characters of Chand Sadagar,
Behula, and Lakhindar. The findings demonstrate that Manasamangal is not merely a
mythological narrative; rather, it is a remarkable literary document that explores the
moral, social, and philosophical dimensions of human life, making its relevance
enduring even in the contemporary context.
