Information For Authors

Papers will be accepted for publication with an understanding that they are submitted solely to journal of Pundra University of Science & Technology (JPUST) and are subject to review and editorial revision. The statement, views and opinions expressed in the articles are those of the author(s) and for any criticism, the JPUST cannot be held responsible. Manuscript should be accompanied by a signatured declaration statement from the corresponding author who will be responsible for all matters to the submitted manuscript. Manuscript should be sent to the Chief Editor by email (pundra.journal@gmail.com) or submit at the respective website of JPUST. It is a multi-disciplinary journal. Therefore, articles from all the disciplines fulfilling the given pre- conditions will be received for reviewing.

Preliminary Requirements:

The preliminary requirements of an article, before it is processed:

  • Appropriateness of the title to the goals and scope of the journal.
  • An abstract of the article, not exceeding 300 words.
  • Conformation to the Reference Style of the journal.
  • Length of the article up to:
    • 5000 — 7000 words for original article.
    • 6000 — 10000 words for review article.
    • 2000 — 3000 words for case reports.
Declaration:

Each article should be accompanied with a declaration statement by the corresponding author that-

  • All authors have read, understand and agreed to the submission guidelines, policies and submission declaration of the journal.
  • The manuscript is the authors' original work and has not been published or is not being submitted or considered for publication elsewhere.
  • The text, illustrations, and any other materials included in the manuscript do not infringe up on any existing copyright or other rights of anyone.
  • All authors participated in the work in a substantive way and are prepared to take public responsibility for the work
  • All authors of the manuscript have no conflict of interests to declare.
  • In future if any one complain about plagiarized text or incorrect information in the manuscript, the authors will be fully responsible for that.
  • All authors shall not submit the paper for publication in any other Journal or Magazine till the decision is made by journal editors.
Review System and Copy-Editing:

The criteria used for reviewing an article are: contemporary relevance, contribution to knowledge, originality, clarity and logic in analysis, methodology of research articles, implications for intervention, appropriateness of references, and language. Every article undergoes a double blind peer review process. Every accepted article will be copy-edited.

Copyright:

The author owns the copyright of the article until the article is accepted by the journal for publication. Once accepted for publication and the author is informed, the copyright of the article will be owned by the JPUST. It should not be reproduced elsewhere without the written permission of the Chief Editor of JPUST.

Policy Regarding to Plagiarism and Usage of AI:

The Editorial Board of the JPUST discourages all kinds of plagiarism and widely usage of AI. The submitted paper is checked with an anti-plagiarism and AI detection software. The maximum accepted limit of similarity and AI detection are 25% and 30% respectively.

General Instruction:

If a new article does not meet these requirements, it is sent back to the author.

Page Size and Text Style: Uses the A4 paper size (Margins: Top & Bottom: 2 inches, Left & Right: 1.65 inches) and text style as Times New Roman, font size 10. Only the title of the article should be in font size 14 and abstract in italic front. The heading of each section of main content should be numbered as 1, 2, 3, etc. The subsections should be numbered as 1.1, 1.2, 2.4, etc. and the sub-subsections should be numbered as 1.1.1, 1.2.2, 3.1.1, etc. Author need to use single line spacing and text alignment need to be justified. There should be 10 pt space before each section and 6 pt space between two paragraphs. The manuscript should be limited within 15 pages including tables, figures, graphs, references, etc.
Language: The language of the article must be in English (for special case other language). Traditional Arabic front should be used for Arabic language.
Authors: No more than five authors are acceptable for each article.
Submission Format: Manuscript must be submitted in pdf and doc format.
Abbreviations and Acronyms: Define abbreviations and acronyms the first time they are used in the text, even after they have been defined in the abstract. Abbreviations such as SI, MKS, CGS, sc, dc, and rms do not have to be defined. Use either SI (MKS) or CGS as primary units. Use a zero before decimal points: “0.25”, not “.25”.
Equation:Equation must be written using the equation option from Microsoft Word. The equations need to be centered using a center tab stop and number consecutively.
Abstract:

Abstract must be written in single paragraph. Author should limit the abstract within 500 words. Abstract should reflect a clear view of the research including background of the research, gaps of the research, objectives, research methods/approach, significant findings, and concluding remarks. Do not use symbols, special Characters, footnotes, or Math in Abstract.

Keywords: 4 to 6 words should be used.
1. Introduction

This section should generally aim to provide context by discussing relevant literature, summarizing the problem, and explaining the rationale and potential outcomes of the study. The introduction should end with a clear statement of the purpose and objectives to help readers understand the evolution, importance, and critical aspects of the study. Try to avoid figure, table, etc in this section.

2. Materials and Methods

This section should report all the relevant subsections that include

3. Results

This section contains an in-depth presentation of the outcomes of the study. Results can be presented in text, figures, tables, etc. Place figures and tables at the middle of the page. Figure titles should be below the figures and table titles should appear above the tables. For figure, use a table to insert the graphic (which is ideally a 300 dpi TIFF or EPS file, with all fonts embedded) because, in an MS Word document, this method is somewhat more stable than directly inserting a picture.

4. Conclusion

This section should contain the concluding remarks based on the major findings without any explanation and references either in bullet points or as paragraph.

Acknowledgements:

Authors should acknowledge any contribution, support, and assistance in favor of conducting this work.

Disclosure of Financial Assistance:

Any kind of financial support (funding, grants or sponsorship) that the authors have received has to be acknowledged. If the authors did not receive any funding for this work, please state "The authors received no specific funding for this work."

Ethical Consideration:

Authors will be ensuring quality and integrity of his / her research, respect the confidentiality and anonymity of the research respondents, ensure that the participants or institution will participate in the study voluntarily, avoid harm to the participants and show that the research is independent and impartial.

Conflict of Interest:

Authors must disclose that the study has no financial, commercial, legal, or professional relationship with other organizations, or with the people working with them, that could influence or compromise the study or researcher's professional judgment. If no conflict of interest, the author will add a statement in the end: "the researcher claims no conflicts of interest."

References:

This journal requires following the Vancouver referencing style both in citation and reference list. In text, sources must be cited as numbers (using superscript1) in the order in which they appear. Use a table to insert reference list.
